2021 ACK China

Last week Mr. Sven Steinwascher attended on behalf of GETEC Getriebe Technik GmbH the 11th Aachen Colloquium China (ACK) and presented our 2DHT solution.

The market outlook, especially in China, shows a significant growth of Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and Plugin Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) in the following years. Whereas for HEV the technical solution applied is mainly defined as DHT, and for PHEV the conventional transmissions (DCT, AT, CVT) combined with P2 or P2.5 are competing with DHT.

The best technical drivetrain solutions for future requirements have been simulated, analyzed, and compared within this speech. GETEC’s 2DHT concept has been introduced and explained as an answer to those requirements on sustainable drivetrains. Finding the best concept is a challenge itself. GETEC analyzed the different technical solutions from the main perspectives: fuel consumption reduction potential, performance, driving quality, package, and cost.
The analysis of different existing concepts has given deep insights and the introduction of the 2DHT concept shall support the future portfolio strategies of automotive OEMs and Tier1s.
