From 10th to 11th of Dec. 2019, the 18th CTI Symposium is held in Berlin, Germany. The International CTI SYMPOSIUM is the international industry event in Europe. In 2019 CTI Berlin, there are over 1,300 experts from 28 countries provide the latest information on developments in automotive transmissions and drives for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
GETEC Getriebe Technik GmbH is invited to have two speeches on the conference since the specialized in the development and testing of powertrain, especially in the new energy area. Mr. Joachim Trumpff, the director of engineering and testing business unit, presents the RLD technology for the development and testing. Mr. Florian Stallforth, the director of research and development business unit, presents the advanced development technology of DHT.
“With the presented DHT system GETEC Getriebe Technik GmbH developed an outstandingly economic, mechanically plain and very compact transmission for the challenging A- and B-Class segment’s fuel consumption and package requirements.” Florian mentions that “ With the usage of 4 gears and 2 scalable electric motors, all required and state of the art, hybrid functionalities can be realized. Further, all potential driving maneuvers can be performed, meeting the high expectations of the customers regarding comfort and fuel consumption.”
Joachim points out in his speech that to overcome the challenges from the market and from the policy, shorter development times and more transmission types are required. So it is necessary to optimize the development and testing of the transmissions. In this case, GETEC Getriebe Technik GmbH uses Road Load Data to generate optimized duty cycles and tailor made test code. This will support the customers to reduce the cost and time of development.
With the increasing capability and accumulated experience, GETEC Getriebe Technik GmbH will assist their customers to face the challenges from stricter regulations in the EU like WLTP and also to be well prepared for the market competition.
