GETEC on ACK Germany 2021

Last week, Mr. Sven SteinWasher took part in the 11th Aachen Colloquium China (ACK) on behalf of GETEC Getriebe Technik GmbH and presented our 2DHT solution.

The market outlook, especially in China, shows significant growth of Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) and Plugin Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV) over the next few years. While HEV mainly uses DHT as a technical solution, conventional transmissions (DCT, AT, CVT) in combination with P2 or P2.5 compete with DHT in PHEV.

The best technical powertrain solutions for future requirements were simulated, analyzed and compared as part of this presentation. GETEC’s 2DHT concept was presented and explained as an answer to these requirements for sustainable powertrains. Finding the best concept is a challenge. GETEC analyzed the various technical solutions from the most important points of view: potential for reducing fuel consumption, performance, ride quality, packaging and cost.

The analysis of various existing concepts has provided deep insights and the introduction of the 2DHT concept is intended to support the future portfolio strategies of car manufacturers and Tier1s.
